I wonder if the highest level trackers really worth the hassle of getting into them. Do they provide better download speed, more content, better community/forum or it's just a matter of being in a very rare tracker that drive people to try to get into them?

yes iam in FTN and also CN both are very rare and CN have only 500 users and 8000 torrents...but i feel chdbits , TL and TD as better source and also other low level trackers high level trackers means they never offer anything great but they never let people to get into them easily

We need to differentiate between collectors trackers and users trackers. Exigo, HDbits, ITs, FSC, FTN etc are all collecters trackers and are indeed very rare but they do not provide any better content, nor speed or community than rest of the very easy to get in to trackers. When I joined torrent world, my "seniors" told me that most of the very hard to get in to trackers are not worth the price if they are not language based like TS-Tracker, Norbits or HDSpain. I of course never believed them and payed a 'heavy' price trying to get in to some of the most sought after trackers.
WHEN I got in there for the very first time, I was shocked to find that these trackers are just like other category 4 or 5 trackers. And the only reason that they are so stupidly highy valued is their man-made scarcity in overall membership and because most of them are atleast 3 years old. In reality none of the english language based most sought after trackers are really that GREAT compared to other trackers with exceptionally huge user bases. I would recommend noobs to try to join those trackers first which have some of the biggest user base and or content. Because in torrent-sharing that is what matters the most.

I have made an easy list of trackers which you must have in every usual category except Porn for new junior torrenters so they avoid falling in the same trap as me:

HD: Best: CHDbits. No HDbits is Not the best even if it is the most difficult HD-tracker to get into. Then there are others like HD-torrents, HDchina, BitHDTV etc. Custom HD-release group trackers: PixelHD, HDME, HD-Bits, Awsome-HD, HDAhoy etc.

Scene: Best: Sceneaccess. No FTN is Not the best even if it is the most difficult Scene-tracker to get into. Then there are others like thegft, torrentleech, pretome etc.

General: If you want almost everything on your fingertips then there is no tracker better than IPtorrents. Torrentday is also great but it usually has same content as IPtorrents only releasing a couple of minutes later.

Movies: Best: PTP and Tehconnection. If you are into community based custom releases, try PTN, X264 and CN. If you want old releases try Karagara, I Love Classics, TheTorrents and Gormogon. If you want horror, gore and cult try Cinemageddon, TheHorrorChannel and SecretCinema.

Music: Best: What and Waffles. For Flacs: XBTmusic, IFR and LosslessWorld. No, EXIGO is NOT the best Flac-tracker. Other music genre-based trackers: Trancetraffic, Jpopski, DB9 etc.

Learning: Best: Bitme and Myanaymouse. Then there is Bitspyder, Learnbits, TheGeeks. For e-books try Bibliotik and EbookVortex. For documanteries try ScienceHD, Docspedia and Documentary-torrents. For business-related content try TheVault.

Games: Best: BCG and Bitgamer. For old games try Undergroundgamer. For Xbox-related contet try XBOX-Sky.

TV: Best: BTN and BitmeTV. Then there are Freshon, TVTorrents and XtremeTV. For British TV try TheBox and UKNova.
