Actor Dylan Bruce is coming off a hot-streak with his work on both Orphan Black and a multi-episode guest appearance on the CW series Arrow, not to mention the recent Hallmark movie A Novel Romance, which co-starred Amy Acker (Person of Interest).

Thanks especially to Bruce’s character Major Paul Dierden aka “Hot Paul” on the BBC America drama series, it now sounds as though the actor has found work on another hot science fiction series – NBC’s returning drama series Heroes Reborn from TV guru Tim Kring.

The news of Bruce’s casting comes courtesy of Deadline – though the outlet does not provide any details of who exactly the actor will portray (and whether or not he will be superpowered). Given that Kring’s series will, once again, follow everyday humans who discover they have supernatural abilities, Bruce could be one of the powered people or, in keeping with his role on Orphan Black, a “normal” human – working against/alongside the “Heroes.”

Either way, adding the Orphan Black fan-favorite is a smart move by NBC – as the network continues to flesh out the cast of Heroes Reborn. Little info is available about the core Reborn story but, so far, we do know that several original cast members will be back for the revival, including Jack Coleman as Noah Bennet, Greg Grunberg as Matt Parkman, Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura, and Jimmy Jean-Louis as The Haitian.

It is unknown whether Nashville star Hayden Panettiere and The Whispers lead Milo Ventimiglia (recently seen on Gotham as the serial killer Ogre) will reprise their roles as Claire Bennet, the cheerleader with healing abilities, and Peter Petrelli, who could replicate other abilities; yet; NBC has kept busy adding several well-known newcomers: Zachary Levi (Chuck), Eve Harlow (The 100), and Ryan Guzman (Pretty Little Liars), among others. Of course, with Coleman onboard as Noah Bennet, fans are certainly hoping for an appearance by Claire at some point.

As mentioned, the official Heroes Reborn synopsis kept things vague but promised “new layers to the original superhero concept” as well as new storylines that “will take the Heroes phenomenon to new places.” We’ll have to wait for further information from NBC to know exactly where Bruce fits into the Heroes Reborn miniseries but, whether he is a hero or villain, the actor is an exciting addition to one of 2015’s most anticipated series – especially after such a memorable turn on Orphan Black.

Heroes Reborn will debut with 13 new episodes this Fall – airing Thursday nights at 8:00 p.m. on NBC.
