Chinese handset maker Meizu is expected to launch a new smartphone on July 29. The name of the upcoming device is unknown, but sources close to the matter claim the company may announce the Meizu M2 mid-range smartphone.

The good news is the M2 has just been spotted at a Chinese retailer along with specs and pricing information, a new report confirms.
This means that the smartphone might indeed be introduced later today. Aside from China, we expect Meizu M2 to be available in other countries as well, but not at launch.
According to the listing at TMall, one of China's biggest retailers, Meizu M2 will be available for purchase for just $95 (€85), which makes it a great deal considering its specs.
Speaking of which, Meizu M2 will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, and will offer both 4G LTE and dual-SIM support.
Only for these features and Meizu M2 is bang for the buck, but there are quite a lot of other specs that make it worth the full price.

For example, the smartphone sports a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. It also packs a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, which is complemented by a Mali-T720 MP2 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.
Also, Meizu M2 packs no less than 16GB of internal memory, but users will be able to expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
On the back, there will be a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera.
The smartphone is only 8.7mm thick and will be powered by a decent 2,500 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
