Restricted
Requirements: Failing to make it out of ratio watch.
Privileges: CANNOT download/upload. May only seed torrents from their snatch list. Most functions of the site are disabled. Cannot invite new users.

User
Requirements: None. This is the default user class when first signing up. Members get demoted to User if their ratio falls below 0.65.
Privileges: Can download/upload. Cannot invite new users.

Member
Requirements: 10GB uploaded. Has been a member of the site for more than a week and ratio above 0.7.
Privileges: Can use invites, notifications, set a forum signature, access the Top 10 and edit the Knowledge base.

Power User
Requirements: 25GB uploaded, uploaded 5 torrents, has been a member of the site for 2 weeks or more and ratio above 1.05.
Privileges: Same as Member + advanced Top 10, can view torrent snatched list, delete tags, edit torrent's description, original title and release date and access the advanced user search. Receives a new invite once per month (up to a maximum of 10 available invites).

Donor
Requirements: Donated to the tracker.
Privileges: Our eternal love. Has same rights as Power Users + can submit requests for free, add torrents to recommendation list and invite users when invites are closed.

VIP
Requirements: Undisclosed.
Privileges: Same as Donor + can send unlimited invites, make own torrents freeleech and remove tags from torrents.

Super VIP
Requirements: Undisclosed. Much more difficult to achieve than VIP.
Privileges: It's a secret.

What are the various user classes?

User: This is the first class that every member starts off with when they first join the site.

Power User: Has been a member for at least 27 days, have uploaded at least 50GB and have a ratio at or above 1.05

VIP: Possible only via donations or promoted by Admin or Owner because they contributed a lot to the site.

Uploader: Can upload torrents on TD. Must be a Power User or above to apply for this position.

Forum Moderator: This staff position monitors the forums, looking to help members and also make sure all members are being nice and following the rules.

Torrent Moderators: This staff position helps monitor the torrents and comments. They clean up some of the torrents with screens, etc and move them to the proper category when needed. They also monitor the comments to ensure there are no spoilers posted and no bashing uploaders/groups/members/staff.

Moderator: Can edit and delete any uploaded torrents. Can also moderate user comments and disable accounts.

Administrator: Same as Moderator but can also promote staff.

SysOp: Staff Leaders a.k.a God's, can do everything.


How do you get promoted to the various user classes?

The Power User class is the only user class that is managed by the system. Once you meet the Power User requirements the system will auto promote you. All other classes are managed manually. TD does not require uploaders all the time and when we do we promote the users ourselves depending on the need.

Can reach the PU, EU and EU+ pages, the online Arcade system and log pages, besides the normal pages and can request for goodies.
Extreme Elite User		The most extreme class on our site. Is a member for a long time and has also uploaded a lot and therefore can download 9 torrents simultaneously. Can reach the PU, EU, EU+ and EEU pages, the online Arcade system and log pages, besides the normal pages and can request for goodies.
		Has donated money to BitHQ (this does NOT mean that you are free to hit and run, even tho you do get extra ratio, make sure you still seed 1:1!).
VIP		Same privileges as Extreme Elite Users and is considered a Super Elite Member of BitHQ. Immune to automatic demotion and can download 9 torrents simultaneously. Can reach all pages that don't require moderation functions.
Other		Customised title.
Uploader		Same as Extreme Users but immune to automatic demotion. No download restrictions.
VIP Uploader		Same as Extreme Users but immune to automatic demotion. Considered Elite BitHQ Uploader. No download restrictions.
Moderator		Can edit and delete any uploaded torrents. Can also moderate user comments and disable accounts. No download restrictions.
Administrator		Can do just about anything. No download restrictions.
Coder		Same privileges as Sysop and mostly responsible for the coding. No download restrictions.
SysOp		The big boss. No download restrictions.

How does this promotion thing work anyway?

Power User		Must have been be a member for at least 4 weeks, have uploaded at least 30GB and have a ratio at or above 1.05. The promotion is automatic when these conditions are met. Note that you will be automatically demoted from this status if your ratio drops below 0.95 at any time.
Extreme User		Must have been a member for at least 8 weeks, have uploaded at least 100GB and have a ratio at or above 1.25. The promotion is automatic when these conditions are met. Note that you will be automatically demoted from this status if your ratio drops below 1.10 at any time.
Elite User		Must have been a member for at least 16 weeks, have uploaded at least 800GB and have a ratio at or above 1.5. The promotion is automatic when these conditions are met. Note that you will be automatically demoted from this status if your ratio drops below 1.30 at any time.
Extreme Elite User		Must have been a member for at least 32 weeks, have uploaded at least 1500GB and have a ratio at or above 2.00. The promotion is automatic when these conditions are met. Note that you will be automatically demoted from this status if your ratio drops below 1.80 at any time.
		If you want to donate, then this should go automatically. However, if this fails, then please inform staff with the details.
VIP		Assigned by mods at their discretion to users they feel contribute something special to the site. (Anyone begging for VIP status will be automatically disqualified.)
Other		Conferred by mods at their discretion (not available to Users).

Why can't my friend become a member?

Bitleechers is a private tracker, the only other way in is by invite. (Unless we are have an open registration period). Accounts inactive for more than 30 days are automatically deleted. (There is no reservation or queuing system, don't ask for that.)


How do I add an avatar to my profile?


First, find an image that you like, and that is within the rules. Then you will have to find a place to host it, such as IMGUR. Photobucket, ImageShack. All that is left to do is copy the URL you were given when uploading it to the avatar field in your profile.

stats requirement and the membership time requirement has to be met if applicable. All promotions and
demotion are automatic (except Celebrity and higher). Do not ask for promotions, do not feel bad for being demoted.

Probie: If you were demoted to Probie it is because you downloaded greater then 100GB without first uploading
at least 25GB. You need to hold or exceed a 0.25 ratio as a User to avoid Probie. Start small, large files are harder to
seed back.

* Parked - The account has been set into a safe mode. Immune to pruning for 6 months. After this time has passed, account will be be restored to previous user class. Parking your account immediately after downloading something or after receiving a warning will be viewed as an attempt to get around the site rules, and could lead toyour account being banned.

* Power User - Access to site and forum is the same as user. 15 leech slots & 5 active requests. Accounts disabled if not accessed for 3 months.
* V.I.P - Access to site and forum is same as user, but also has access to a part of the forum that only they can see. 20 leech slots & 10 actives requests. Account disabled if not accessed for 6 months.
* Elite V.I.P - Access to site and forum is the same as V.I.P, but also has access to a part of the forum that only they can see. 25 leech slots & 15 active requests. Immune from pruning. More perks are being added.

Staff User Classes:
* Moderator - Able to view/edit/delete torrents, forum posts, news, etc. Able to issue warnings/ban users.
* IRC - Same as Moderator. Also runs the CartoonChaos IRC channel with absolute power.
* Admin - Manages the site. Can (and will) do just about anything.
* Sysop - Codes the site. Can do (and code) just about anything.

How does this promotion thing work anyway?



* Banned - Excessive breaking of the rules or being inactive for more than the minimum term bring you to this point.
* Warned - Given for rule breaking.
* User - Where all users start.
* Power User - Automatically awarded when you have a minimum 50GB upload and 10GB download and have been a member for 4 weeks.
* V.I.P - Awarded by staff at their discretion, but can also be gained by donating at least $5 or equivalent.
* Elite V.I.P - Awarded at staff discretion for exemplary behaviour. Asking to be promoted will only ensure that you don't get a promotion.
* Moderator - You don't ask us. We ask you. Asking to be promoted to moderator ensures that you won't be one.
* Admin/Sysop - Given at owners discretion for exemplary work as part of the staff team. Which is given depends on the skills you have.
Hey! I've seen Power Users with less than 50GB uploaded!


The requirements for Power User are always being debated. It may alter several times before we find a level that isn't TOO easy to reach, but will still bring a sense of accomplishment. If you see someone with less than 50 GB uploaded, he or she was most likely promoted by staff for services to the site (for example uploading rare shows and keeping them well seeded). Further advancements from power user may be available in the near future.

It was decided to keep Cartoon Chaos closed most of the time, and restrict use of invites. This helps ensure that we can keep on top of hit & runners, duplicate accounts, and invite traders before they get out of hand.

NOTE: New accounts inactive for more than 30 days are automatically disabled/banned.
