I don't use a password manager. I really don't like the idea of there being a master key that gives someone access to practically every account I have. And even if I did, I wouldn't entrust managing that master key to any service that wasn't entirely under my own control.
Instead, I use different passwords for everything and I write down password hints in a safe place. The hints are enough for me to reconstruct a password and not enough for anyone else to easily compromise my accounts if they somehow got ahold of them. Plus I use 2FA for the really important accounts. It's been working pretty well for me so far.
