If you’re a mobile phone enthusiast, then you probably can’t wait for Samsung to reveal its next-gen flagship device, the Galaxy Note 5.

The good news is that this year, it appears Samsung won’t be sticking to its usual pattern which would have the company unveil the Note 5 at IFA 2015 in Berlin. Instead, the Korean tech giant is poised to unleash the monster on August 12, a few weeks before Apple has the chance to unveil its own new iPhone models.
So far, we’ve shown you the CAD drawings of the handset, some pretty decent renders, and we have offered you a sneak peek at the phablet’s accessories. So we can say we have a pretty good idea of what the device will end up looking like when it gets revealed by Samsung.
Today, thanks to a leakster in Czech Republic, we can show you even more. Apparently, an image showcasing Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 testbed has made its way online.
[h=3]The image shows an unpolished version of the Galaxy Note 5[/h] If you’re wondering what a testbed is, we’ll tell you: it’s actually a prototype that bundles the same internals and software version as the final version of the product.
Even so, we have to draw your attention to the fact that, even if testbeds are pretty much the same internally as the marketable product, they do not come with the final design.
That’s probably why you won’t find the image above extremely appealing. According to the most recent information, the Galaxy Note 5 will be similar in design to the Galaxy S6, which has a glass back and, as you probably very well know, looks extremely sleek.
Anyway, while we wait for Samsung to make an official announcement, we’ll remind you that the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to arrive with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with support for Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixel) resolution. There won’t be a microSD card slot inside the device, just like in the case of the Galaxy S6, and the battery is likely to be non-removable.
Moreover, the smartphone will be powered by Samsung’s homegrown all-in-one Exynos 7422 chipset, which accommodates a 64-bit octa-core processor plus 4GB of RAM.
