A new trailer for The Wheel of Time is here and it gives fans a glimpse at Rosamund Pike's quest as the series' guide who searches for the Dragon Reborn. Based on Robert Jordan's 14-book fantasy series, The Wheel of Time tells an epic battle between good and evil set in a world protected by an all-female group of magic wielders called Aes Sedai against The Dark One. The bestselling saga is considered to be one of the most successful series since J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. The TV adaptation is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 19.

Pike plays Moiraine Damodred, a member of the Aes Sedai who goes on a journey to seek five young people as she believes one of them is destined to save the world. Known as the Dragon Reborn, this savior has been prophesized to be the one to defeat The Dark One and his evil forces. The show's younger cast includes Madeleine Madden, Marcus Rutherford, Barney Harris, Zoë Robins, and Josha Stradowski. The Wheel of Time will consist of eight episodes, with a second season already confirmed.

On Friday, Amazon dropped a new trailer for The Wheel of Time, highlighting Moiraine's quest and how it sets the stage for the epic series. The video begins with Pike's introduction, with the actress narrating the background to the all-important prophesy about the Dragon Reborn. She explains that 20 years ago, she learned about "the vision of a baby being born." The clip continues to explain the series' lore as Moiraine sets out on a grand journey across the world in search of the promised savior. It ends with Pike asking, "Who is the Dragon Reborn?" while the faces of the five young cast members are flashed. Watch the new trailer below:

With less than a month away before The Wheel of Time premieres on Amazon, anticipation is high for the fantasy series. The new trailer reinforces Pike's amazing presence and the show's beautiful imagery and dramatic effects, which were already teased in its The Wheel of Time's first official trailer. Fans of the books are already gearing up to see the mythical adventure come to life on screen. For those who are unfamiliar with the saga, the series' early teasers offer a peek at Jordan's sprawling saga.

While the story of the promised one isn't new in the fantasy genre, the prophecy involving the Dragon Reborn is the backbone of The Wheel of Time. With its big-budget production, the upcoming series is poised to fill the void left by Game of Thrones. Amazon is also hard at work on a new Lord of the Rings series, which is expected to debut in the second half of 2022. These two shows will go head-to-head with HBO's House of the Dragon when the GoT prequel arrives early next year. With a second season already promised, The Wheel of Time definitely plans to stay in the game for a long time.
