Christina Aguilera took the stage at Los Angeles' Staples Center on Monday (Feb. 24) to deliver an emotional performance of "Ave Maria" at Kobe and Gianna Bryant's Celebration of Life ceremony.

She sang in Italian while her backing string arrangement pulled on the heartstrings of the memorial's star-studded audience, including Beyoncé, who performed the powerful duo of "XO" and "Halo" to kick off the event.

Aguilera wore a crisp black suit jacket with lace-detailed sleeves and wide-legged trousers while letting her terrific voice waver throughout the arena, Bryant's home for almost 20 years of playing for the LA Lakers.
