Scheduled maintenance, upgrades and updates
Hey MTV,
This coming Sunday, October 25, I'm going to do some maintenance and upgrades to our internal network so you can expect some downtime but I will keep it as short as possible.
As LazX already informed you on our wiki:What We Stand For we are aiming for an uptime as close to 100% as possible and this means we'll have to do some modifications to the internal network and add more redundancy and failovers in order to achieve it.
There will be at least one more scheduled maintenance to complete this process but I will announce it in due time. This next one will also cover some service integrations since we plan to launch a secure mail platform for our users and a free VPN service as well.
Going further I would like to give a special thanks to turningp, brett and rektalbox for their contributions on the technical side on things and with this I would like to welcome anybody with the technical experience to share their knowledge and help us improve in any way possible because nobody is all knowing and I'm aware there's still much work to be done until we reach a "near-perfect" platform.
I will also like to use this opportunity to thank our donors which made it possible for us to get an additional monster server today and compete in speeds head to head with the big boys. Rest assure that everything in terms of internal network is not dependent on donations but they do help us grow faster than we anticipated and this is a pleasant surprise from our community so thank you again.
