Today I finished watching The Front Runner. It wasn't bad as something I put on in the background while cooking or doing laundry over the last few days, but I think sitting down and watching it properly would have been quite boring. It moves pretty slowly and it doesn't have a strong core message. It's a dramatization of Gary Hart's 1988 American Presidential campaign and adultery scandal, but I feel like I would have got more value out of an actual documentary.
Before that I watched Jojo Rabbit (Content warning: Nazism and Nazi imagery), which was phenomenal. The scene with Jojo in the square shocked and hurt me, though. Damn, what a sudden and drastic change in tone.
